This is my contribution to the discussion about claims of Disabled People's Fraud against the state and taxpayers:

The reports by the Right Wing Media, supported overtly and covertly by the Govt that Disabled People are defrauding the State and Taxpayers by claiming Welfare Benefits that they are not entitled to is crass and asinine! Not only that, it is factually incorrect! This is demonstrably true because if these fraudsters, if they are proven to be fraudsters, and are not entitled to the benefits that they have claimed then by definition they cannot be disabled and if they are not disabled they therefore cannot be used to define a group of people [who are entitled to the benefits that they claim], "Disabled People".

Therefore the media demonisation of Disabled People as a drain on the State, as Fraudsters is a LIE, a LIE that should not be allowed to continue! This "Misnomer" and the "Moral Panic" it has engendered should not be allowe...d to stand unchallenged and neither should this Government who are willing to attack and undermine a group of people who ill deserve such treatment and use that perceived weakness as a distraction to the real villains of the piece! It is very easy to pick on a group of people, some of whom are unable to defend themselves! We should not allow this deceit to continue unchallenged, just as the attacks on minority groups whether they are Roma, People without homes or Big Issue Sellers to name [an extremely limited] few! It is extremely easy to attack the "Little People" but what of those in the "Financial Industry" those with a greater perceived power who may not actually, under the law be criminals but whose "Moral Outrage" is to allow people with less power to be used to distract society's gaze from them, who do not pay their rightful tax bills, claim expenses that they are not entitled to from the "Public Purse", grant themselves pay rises well in excess of those which the people they are capping/cutting can never hope to see, increase the pensions that they receive even after only a short time in post [4 years] which far exceed the pensions of people that are capped or that they plan to be cut! Say that they are going to curb the profits and bonuses of Private Sector workers of Banks in Public Ownership and then do nothing! These people put money into those Party Coffers [which help to keep these people in power] whilst minority groups do not and then they attempt, and are intending to continue removing the Human Rights of those minority groups!

 

You have to laugh at their Chutzpah, don't you, well perhaps not!!
